Nice to meet you, I'm Ben.
As you can hopefully see from my portfolio, I am an experienced and versatile filmmaker. From corporate dramas and branded content, to commercials and documentaries, I have been working with high profile clients such as Guinness, Samsung, American Express, BMW, Stella Artois, Macmillan Cancer Care, the MOD, SEGA and the like for over 10 years.
I started off in-house for Interlink Communications as an assistant editor / camera guy before moving over to Spectrecom Film as director / camera / editor. It is here I began to develop my lighting, writing and directing skill set, helping the company achieve a number of IVCA awards, as well as managing their in house team of 10 shooter / editors as the company built Waterloo Film Studios. I then developed the creative team as Head of Creative and eventually Creative Director, where I became responsible for the writing team and overall creative output of production whilst still directing some of the company's most successful projects.
In September 2014 I decided to go freelance in order to further my development as a filmmaker, meet new people, and grow my network. Since then I have been working a lot in Fashion with Duck Productions, as well working very closely with Casual Films across a broad range of content, with whom we achieved Cannes Dolphin and IVCA awards.
I own a full Sony FS7 kit including a range of L-series Canon lenses, plus Sony Wireless microphone and Sennheiser 416.
Please do get in touch if you would like to know more or would like to discuss a project!
